KHQ Story – First Annual Spokane Kindness Day

KHQ interviewed Angella Southerly and Rick Scott (Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council) about the First Annual Spokane Kindness Day.

Light A Lamp partnered with four other organizations, the West Spokane Wellness PartnershipSpokane County Target Zero Task Force, and the Greater Spokane Substance Abuse Council’s Prevention Center to bring the first local Kindness Day to the Spokane area.

Today, Tuesday, November 21, 2023, is the first annual Spokane Washington Kindness Day! Volunteers from the partner organizations delivered gift baskets to recognize crosswalk volunteers/employees as a “Thank YOU” for keeping our children safe on our roads, and today Light A Lamp will be recognizing other local heroes who have been nominated as someone who “makes a difference.”

A small act of kindness can do much more than you realize in someone’s life. A kind gesture, comment, or simply a moment of time can move mountains. Please join us and our partners in spreading kindness in our community by giving a compliment, purchasing a stranger’s coffee or groceries, or saying thanks to someone. Help us Share The Good!
