Light A Lamp Community Outreach

Today marked Light A Lamp’s 9th annual Christmas Delivery! One of Light A Lamp’s favorite Community Outreach activities is providing gifts of encouragement to assisted living homes at special times throughout the year.

Students from the Teaching Academy at Mead High School volunteered to help Light A Lamp by making blankets and cards, and then personally delivering those items to the residents at Avalon Assisted Living Home. Thanks to their amazing teachers, the students were bused to the facility and were able to personally hand out the gifts, bringing a little Christmas cheer to the residents. 

These students showed compassion and leadership skills while volunteering to serve this vulnerable group in our community.
