Kids creating gifts during Kindness Mission

The Inlander – Spotlight on Light A Lamp’s Mental Health Program for Students

One act of kindness can change – or save – a life. This is what Angella Southerly and the team at Light A Lamp believe.

The Inlander interviewed Light A Lamp’s Executive Director, Angella Southerly, for a story in the Giving Guide. Angella talks about how Light A Lamp started, as well as some recent changes in the non-profit, such as shifting the program which supports children and families affected by cleft lip/palate to its own non-profit, Inland Cleft and Craniofacial Group.

The story also covers the genesis of Light A Lamp’s mental health program for youth, Project Lift Up, and how it’s grown from providing gift bags to a couple of schools into a sought-after program providing mental health packages and Kindness Missions to 25 schools!
